I'm sorry about your loss. :( 14 is still an amazing run and long life.

I'd never heard of Triad disease until my girl was diagnosed. Her main problem is her pancreas. She's been on Panikare ever since. My vet will also use the canine pancreas blood test on her, which has been very accurate. Any pancreas inflammation has to be handled immediately as it will cause her to not eat, which sends her liver and intestines into chaos. But I can spot a flare up pretty quickly by the way she acts, and the vet gives me the injections to do at home.

Thanks. All the humor on this thread has been good therapy.

I was lucky and spoiled. Having one go to 18 and one to 20, I thought this was only a little above average.

Sounds like you have a good vet.
