That aside, Those Nikons you list are all better than good. Any Nikon is :-) I was just looking at it from a cost standpoint too. Thanks to Barry we may only be able to take pictures of bread in the near future. [And I do love my D3000, does everything a camera should]
I was also thinking of my next door neighbor. He was out of work for three months. Finally found a job, then wham after one month and he got laid off on New Years Eve. A few days before that he was showing me his shiny new $800 Raging Judge handgun he just bought. Which now I believe he wishes didn't spend all that money on. Getting 'Fancy' Cameras in today's world of Barry is similar to me.
btw, I like your link to dpreviews.com. That's my 1st 'go to' site too and I get their weekly email newsletter :-)
In Winter I pretty much hibernate and play my guitars, (except for shooting indoor family photos) and in nice weather, 90% photography.
A very good resource. I believe I used that very link once for a manual for my Fujica ST 701.
And while it is tough finding time to get out and take pics, I’ve found that carrying my camera with me at all times, I can at least snap the occasional interesting to me things that present themselves.
Stay thirsty my friend. :)
