Personally, I don’t think they should endorse anyone. This isn’t a local contest where they have their finger on the public’s pulse. Not sure they’re going to represent all of us.

Today a Tea Party rep was saying the Tea Party isn’t all Republican, that they’re Dems & Indies too. So don’t endorse in the primaries. Are they going to endorse in the Democratic primaries as well?

Tea Party Express is the commercial cousin of the Tea Party, but this might be a good endorsement. And it is an EXCELLENT time to endorse.

Frankly, I agree with Kenny.

Look, the Tea Party isn’t beholden to any party—I agree with that idea. Some Republicans have been as bad as most Demon rats.

I am a Tea Partier who thinks our first goal should be to defeat Hussein in November.

I agree with Sarah Palin when she said most folks are in the “ABO” camp—Anyone but Obama.

I also agree with Rush Limbaugh when he said ANY of our candidates (in my opinion the worst ones are Paul and Huntsman) would be able to defeat Hussein.

My personal analysis comes up with this reasoning, which does not comport with some of the loudest and most vitriolic posters here on FR. That analysis is that Hussein HATES America. None of our candidates—including the often vilified Mitt Romney—hate America.

Hussein hates America and wants to destroy our traditional Judeo-Christian ethic, our Constitution, and capitalism. None of our candidates has that goal—and so I will support with enthusiasm our nominee.

I know many are taking the “never more” stand—but not me. I think this Republic is at a dangerous crossroads, and I’d rather pray for a change in the heart of a flawed but well-meaning man (and all of our candidates are flawed) than endure the regime of an occupier who is hellbent on punishing America.

The tea party put these people into office and the tea party will vote them out of office. These people used the tea party as a vehicle to get into power and then caved to the establishment rather than hold to any principles. I say endorse a tea party candidate to show them they have no real sway and vote in droves to ensure they have egg on their faces. Then vote them out of office as soon as possible.

Exactly. Target 1 in 14 should be Nikki Haley...what a poser.

I’m glad they will endorse...why shouldn’t they?

They endorsed in the midterms.

Whatever it takes to get Romney out of there.

I am glad as well. They are realizing that Romney is gaining steam with these caves and it is causing us to have to act more quickly and get into the act now. I say “tally ho! LETS ROLL!!!”

The Federal Government is supposed to protect the UNITED STATES against all enemies, both Foreign and Domestic.

The Domestic Enemy is the Democrap Party, who hate our country. I believe too much credit/blame is given to CZAR B.O. He is merely the negro spokesman for the Democraps to use as a branding iron against anyone who opposes their COUP. Every piece of legislation that CZAR B.O. has signed into law was written and passed by a DEMOCRAP CONGRESS. These efforts represent the very essence of the DEMOCRAP PARTY.

Branding opponents as RACISTS is their means of anesthetizing free speech!

Official endorsements by all prominent conservatives would be a big boost to the entire not-Romney movement. A Senator Jim DeMint endorsement, alone, would help, but he endorsed Mitt late in ‘08. Will Senator Jim DeMint endorse Romney, again?

I’ll third it. I’m not a party member and refuse to have anyone coerce me into pledging my affiliation. There are bad on both sides - just one side is much worse than the other. I’d as soon plunge em all into the potomac, but how’d that murray movie go “baby steps”...

1st Obama, 2nd the Senate, 3rd filibuster proof...if an elected doesn’t learn their lesson then oust em and move on to the next potential....

I’m happy Boehner is seeing a challenge (or at least I read something to that effect last week) just to ensure he is kept aware of the need to move on things and keep the pressure on...

Mitt endorsed Haley for Gov. and she is returning the favor. Mitt has been doing a lot of that over the last four years. I do not care for Mitt but I am not terrified of him as many of you are. Remember that, If he wins it all, in 4 years he will face re-election. If his record is not great he will have more to fear from Conservatives than from democrats.

They are going to endorse the best anti-romney. This could be useful.

Tell you what. Getting close to crunch time here when we have GOT TO DERAIL ROMNEY, it is starting to piss me off that Sarah Palin and Herman Cain are sitting back and not making an endorsement for an anti-Romney leader whom conservatives can unite against to impact both the New Hamspshire AND the South Carolina results. These people, whom I love, have GOT to *s* or get off the pot. ASAP!!!

So instead of letting the LSM pick our candidate, we are now going to turn it over to Palin and Cain? Or some other Leader? Endorsements will make no difference to me, and I would just as soon they keep their trap shut.

Let the best candidate win - it's baptism by fire. We've only had 1 state caucus for goodness sake. Way too early to be insisting on kicking everyone off the not Romney and not Paul list.

Mitt endorsed Haley for Gov. and she is returning the favor.

I criticized Palin for doing it and Haley is no better. Doing something because you "owe" someone, not because it is the right thing to do, is exactly the type of politics we are fighting against.

Who are they to determine who is the "best anti-romney"? They certainly don't speak for me.

The TP have just as much right to be involved in endorsing and politicking for candidates.

Turn it over to Palin or Cain? To quote Stewie Griffin, what the deuce are you talking about? I didn’t know the TP has a national leader. If there was, I’d say said person(s) has a lot of pull and respect amongst their members.

“Keep their trap shut”? Well, after 20 years of experiencing terms such as “get your ass in line”, “get along to go along” and “be a good soldier and give us your money and vote” I’ve decided to take a different tack in my politics. I’m glad various Tea Parties endorse, campaign and support candidates.

I didn’t know that Palin or Cain were elected to such positions or held such titles. When did this happen? Got a link?

The problem is that for far too long, we’ve been keeping our collective traps shut. My experience has been “shut up and tout the party line” or “it’s okay to open your mouth and endorse, as long as we approve it.”

fIt’s not about kicking people out, it’s about groups wanting to be involved with the process and voicing their support.

Find a group who does. That’s what I did when I told to the GOP to take a hike.
