Some criminals went free or got off easy, some innocent soldiers were hanged or imprisoned. How many Soviet generals who ordered their soldiers to rape and murder German women and children were tried? None. “Bomber” Harris publicly stated that his goal was to kill as many German civilians as possible, and the brits put up a statue of him. Who decides what “justice” is? The winners.

Who decides what justice is? The winners. Very very true. And as you said, no allied war criminals were ever prosecuted. For example, no Soviets were ever prosecuted for the mass execution of Poles in the Katyn Forest.
But that does not lessen the guilt of the Nazi middle-men.

Actually, “Bomber” Harris became the orphan of Allied victory. He was the only senior RAF commander not raisded to the peerage. And despite the heaviest losses of the British [at least by percentage if not outright numbers], bomber command was the ONLY major unit never awarded a campaign star.
