Is that from the outdated and now debunked 10 year study from way back when? Around the time they said coffee was bad, butter was bad, and eggs were bad, but had to back off later?

The apple/cyanide thing was a solution in a GI Joe RAH episode using a “candy coated poison” to kill some out of control dumb super organism created by Cobra interfering in some science experiment. I couldn’t resist the 80s trivia.

The seeds of apples contain an alcaloid called Amygdalin that is sort of a chemical cousin to cyanide. That substance is the strongest cancer fighting chemical known to man. It also has been useful in dissolving cataracts in some people.
