There needs to be more information about this incident. Did a veterinarian diagnose the hooks? How did the dog die? Was it before, during or after surgery to remove them? Was there a diagnosis before the dog died? What proof was there that the dogs were fed the hooks? Just call me a little bit skeptical, many owners are irresponsible and blame something like this to deflect the scrutiny of their own negligence.

Much as I am loathe to even remotely “defend” Chet, *he* was merely the mush-headed mouth piece/mindless minion for his 2 vile puppet masters.

He may have posted the ~initial articles~ but the other two heinous hell spawn were the ones who’d jump in with “helpful hints” on how to best disguise a lethal dose of antifreeze in a ball of hamburger...or what caustic chemicals to spray on a fence to best injure a dog who came into contact with that fence.

More heartbreaking is the fact that the remaining one still carefully and intentionally portrays itself as an angel of light to the unsuspecting victims it sucks in.

It once even had the nerve to ping me to the aid of a FReeper with a sick dog.

Chet99 was merely a symptom, -not- the disease.

I ask God to heal the surviving dog and to reveal the identity of the vile demon who killed the other one.

-Anyone- who would feed somebody’s pet deadly substances should rightly burn in Hell...and I hope they do.

I’ll be surprised to *not* find the remaining one somewhere on this thread “offering prayers” for the recovery of the surviving dog, as it so often does on other injured/ill dog threads.

I had no knowledge of this. Are you saying there was more than 1 chet 99? I feel so stupid.

[not counting the suspected “retreads” shortly after his banning...who also got banned]

Two other FReepers used him to post those freak show gory articles that they themselves didn’t have the guts to.

He’d take the flak that followed until they’d jump in to offer their “final solutions” via poisoning, drowning, various toxic substances, etc.

He, for the most part, just did their dirty work even though he apparently had his own “issues” that they skillfully played upon.

It’s shocking that even FR could harbor such evil, isn’t it?

Ironically, he got banned for a ‘political opinion’, not the innumerable “faces of death” posts.

Go figure.

I was more than shocked too about FR harboring such evil. I complained a couple of times to the monitors, but they also must have been enjoying those sick posts because nothing was done about it. I’m not kidding.

Thank you for educating me. I just didn’t have the stomach to read those posts. The titles were disgusting enough. Hence, this is why I was out of the loop.

Thank you. That helped a bit but still some gaping questions as to the death of the first dog. I would have never had dreamed of lacing meat or dog food with fish hooks. I’ve removed hooks from a dog’s mouth and stomach before but never had the challenge of hooks in dog food. It always helps for me to have as many differentials as possible when confronted with a sick animal.
