Bong was an awesome WWII pilot. Flew the P-38, an awesome plane, and one of the first designs of Kelly Johnson, the man who also design the SR-71, AKA "The Greatest Plane in the History of Aviation." And right over the Illinois-Wisconsin Border they is a rest stop named after Bong too, and yeah, as college young 'uns did choose to imbibe there.

Here's Bong with his babe:

Good pick SD - saw it myself and it is a very good dark comedy. Plus I was very amused at the opening sequence

I don’t know how you have those actors in a movie and it totally flies under the radar. They must have had test audiences full of morons expecting a summer blockbuster superhero movie or something.

You raise an excellent point - that is odd.

I was also happy that it was a 'dark comedy' that was actually funny. Some of the movies I've been seeing for a while were just plain dark, with the 'comedy' part thrown in there by artsy types who like to prove us dupas just don't get it.

Although for all my complaining, "Burke and Hare" was a pretty cool dark comedy I just saw last night.

My paternal grandmother lived and worked in Philly for a few years in the 1930’s-and imported her third (and last) husband from there to ranch with her family in south Texas. As a small child, I remember both of them using some of words I see in that tutorial-Ah swear ah thought it was a foreign language at the time, y’all...

The EPA and other nebby groups
Want to order all that you do
Because they have to be sure
Contracts go to those who renew

The fear of the unwashed masses
That the climate will get too warm-
Making glaciers melt and oceans rise
And cause such dreadful harm

Never mind if you look at history
There’s a different story told-
Humans didn’t advance or prosper
When the earth was icy and cold

It also features the smaller of The Two Ronnies. Hell, Dave Allen's cut-off finger is probably At Large somewhere in the flick if you look hard enough.

/most obscure reference I'll make today

Used to watch Dave Allen all the time. Back when UHF TV was truly independent.

I just saw that Paula Deen is going to promote a diabetes med, and that she has diabetes? If so, is that not the best example of a bad example ever-not to mention possibly creating customers for a product? Is her show going to be the next target of a frivolous lawsuit by some dumbass?
