Apparently, The One couldn't wait until February after he saw his latest polling score. The Greeniacs clearly have him by the shorts. Will be interesting to see union reaction.
Obama should and will be bludgeoned for this - he must be blamed for gas prices being at $3.50/gallon
The One will find other ways to pay off the unions.
Part of me wishes Canadian PM Harper responds by giving the US the middle finger and immediately start the pipeline from Alberta to the Pacific Coast and send the oil to Asia.
Half of our imported oil comes from Canada.
It gives the Repubs GOOD ammunition against Obama who obviously cares about no one....but just likes to show how much power he has. He should be impeached.
I only hope that our candidates have enough nads to use this as a campaign issue.
They've got more than the 'jobs' issue to bludgeon him with. This oil from a friendly neighbor just across the border is a matter of national security, especially with Iran threatening to close the Straits of Hormuz. The Repubs should (politically) put him six feet under on this one.
Only $3.50? I think it will go to $4.00 at a minimum.

This was a HUGE mistake by the GOP to force this. It forced the veto when it could have talked about Keystone for months. This won’t do squat for anyone’s numbers one way or the other. Oh we will talk about it here, but the electorate won’t care one whit. Not only that ... no pipeline.

Not true. We get more imported oil from OPEC than from Canada.

Obama has so many screw ups from Keystone, to F&F, to Solyndra, to Chevy Volt fires, etc. that the Republicans will have no shortage of issues to bash the messiah with.
Good Gawd, if this doesn’t run him out on a rail in November all hope is gone.
