Not only can President Barack Obama slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet, but he apparently also has the ability to influence National Football League schedules.
With the announcement that a large portion of the Democratic National Convention will be held at the Carolina Panthers 74,000-seat Bank of America Stadium, team owner Jerry Richardson told reporters this week that the Panthers will play their first regular season game on the road to make way for the convention, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Meh.
Half of the NFL teams start the season on the road. Venues that are booked in advance go into the scheduling process to accommodate the other uses of the facility.
This shouldn’t come as a surprize; conventions are planned years in advance.
Oh, but what does that matter! The jug-eared king has spoken; all other plans fall by the wayside!
As a Panthers fan, I hope the fumigate the stadium before they let the players and the fans back in.
“The One” is making no friends in NC he will not win the state like he did last time. He is not going to win FL even though he is in “Fantasyland” today to tell people to take vacations. He is a good spokesman for time away from the job.
I am a Carolina fan and with the way our seasons go we don’t need the Obama Curse on our stadium! I hope the team gets someone to purify the stadium after Barry the Bozo is gone.....
Why is this news? Of course the Panthers have to change their plans to accomodate the Democrats and Obama.
I wonder if Obama will have a Greek column backdrop at this stadium, as he did in Denver.
Anybody believe Debbie W.S. and her B.S. that having events in the stadium allows more people to participate? No mention of Obama liking events in big stadiums?????
And what’s up with this stuff about people in skyboxes at B of A Stadium attending the convention? The Democrats want to accomodate the evil 1% who own/lease those skyboxes???? What about their support of the Occupy Wall Street movement???????
I live in Hell , er, um , Charlotte and will be taking my family to da mountain house while these Tyrants occupy our city. Their reception at the race track should rival Michelles visit last year only with more “ Booooooo’s “. My stomach has been in knots since the decision was made to have these thugs gather here.
For a while , I was considering renting one of the billboards out by the airport suggesting that they and their ilk LEAVE as MOST of us don’t want them here - lo , I would probably be arrested and carted off to Gitmo as a terrorist. May it rain bleach & water for 10 days after they leave ..... I am soooo ashamed.
Snoot ;o(
If the dims really want to pack ‘em in for THE 1, why not move the party to Michigan and use Michigan Stadium, capcity 107,000. Why use a 73,000 seat stadium when you can show proper reverence in the biggest stadium in the country. For that matter, why not move it to an open field where hundreds of thousands of sheeple can come and pay homage to their king? Why limit the crowd by a finite number of seats? He could get up on a high rock and be like Thulsa Doom leading “his people” to ultimate destruction.
Actually they don’t have to change anything. NFL schedules aren’t made for months, and one of the things they need when putting the schedule together is venue conflicts. Stadiums are generally used for more than just football. Kind of cocky for him to put the event there, but the NFL would probably start Carolina on the road anyway with the convention happening in the same city, just to make everybody’s life easier.
“As a Panthers fan, I hope the fumigate the stadium before they let the players and the fans back in.”
Begin construction on a new stadium now. Ain’t no fumigat’n material strong enough to bring it back to normal.
LOL
There you go, Zero! Piss off the people you want to have vote for you.
If this guy was any dumber they’d have to put him on a windowsill and water him once a week.
