Ah the fond memories of 6th grade and grade school. My daily morning errand for the principal {also my teacher} across the road too buy his 3 pack a day habit of Kent 100's. Oh yea and me a Coke and candy bar of course.

Then came recess after lunch. About three quarters of the class on the playground snuck or rather simply walked down a small hill and down to the creek bank where recess was spent smoking cigarettes {likely their parents}. I didn't smoke till about maybe 10th grade then off and on for the next 10 years. Mostly off though.

Then there was the large family across the road with kids as young as 6 sneaking a smoke. The older ones about 13-14 didn't bother too sneak.

I grew up mainly in a rural area. Kids chewed backer, smoked, etc at an early age as most families grew it. Grade school 1st-8th grade had six teachers counting the principal LOL.
