You made your points well. Earlier Sandusky was investigated by the DA. Nothing transpired. In the later event Joe told those responsible for the campus police. He told what he was told. He was not a witness.

Put ourselves in Joe’s positon. If someone told you that someone who worked for you was involved with a boy in the bathroom would you have gone to the local police or your boss in charge of your police to investigage. A Monday morning quarterback could now say Joe should have told McQueary to go to the police himself.

Thank you. In addition, Sandusky had not reported to Paterno for three years in 2002. Paterno had no authority over Sandusky. If he had done anything other than follow school procedures, he could have compromised any investigation.

Someone at Penn State dropped the ball (pardon the pun) but it was not Paterno.
