Graham said that what Gingrich did as Speaker back in the 90's while Bill Clinton was President was something to praise and appreciate. Graham was in the House while Gingrich was Speaker. This points out something to me. Truth is very important. It should be. For Santorum and Romney to cloudy the truth about Gingrich to garner votes is despicable. During the month of February, the Truth about Gingrich's legislative and conservative success will be clarified. Also, the Truth about Santorum's spotty success and spotty conservatism will be clarifies. Lindsay Graham has begun the Gingrich clarification.
OHHhh I think I get this...
THE ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT WANT TO LOOK LIKE THE ESTABLISHMENT!
This is making sense!
The establishment does not want to look like the establishment!
So they are coming out in apposite views.
Heard that — almost fell off the bed!
It looks like Lindsey Graham might go both ways.

Yeah, hilarious. Lindsey Graham gave an excellent defense of Newt, and people here are still hating on him.
I agree with you completely, it was a very good interview. Whatever people might think of Graham I think that he was upset about the lies that Romney has been telling about Newt.
Romney has gone pretty far over the top in the last few weeks. I can not believe how arrogant he has been. When he called Newt "silly" and "pathetic" I was stunned.
You know, I think Rick Santorum's winning strategy here is to engage in a "Allright you two knuckleheads, knock it off" Third Way campaign strategy. I mean, that was his loudest cheer line in the Florida debate, it would appeal to millions of voters. I have seen some good polling figures that shows in general Republican voters, and strongly in specific all voters, are simply fed up to death of the Gingrich-Romney scorched earth feud and they are not political wonks like many of us here on FR. What appeals to them is cooling the rhetoric and attack ads, and targeting all fire on the Obama political camp. I think if he could drive that home in Missouri and Colorado and Minnesota, he just might climb up in the polls. We have seen GOP candidates' ebb and flow in this horrific 2012 marathon for the Nomination and the Presidency. I don't see any way for RS to do poorly with such an approach at this stage. This will hit a real resonant chord at home within millions of families' homes, guaranteed. (With the exception of a few limited broadsides here and there, which is politics of course, I think by and large this is what Herman Cain was trying to do, until the liberal mass media salivating for a race card advantage for 2012, savaged him).
Agree. bttt
Miss Lindsey was a class-A ass back then, but like he said he has matured and so has Gingrich and he thinks now, looking back, that Newt was right. None of the coup wanted to make Clinton look good. Newt was looking out for the country, not Bill Clinton. That’s basically want Graham is saying. This should be a bigger story that it is. Miss Lindsey led the fight to get rid of Newt, now he’s saying Newt was right and he also said he’s the only one who can go into Washington DC and changes things. Said he has done it before and can do again. Said no one can articulate conservative ideas like Newt Gingrich can. Sounded like an endorsement to me. I couldn’t believe I was hearing it.
This was a good interview...need to see the entire interview. Listen to Graham’s views on Afghanistan also.

I wonder if he has had an epiphany or as he said he has matured.
Also, I don't keep up with him, as I really con't care for him, but maybe as you said, he doesn't like the lies that have been told to about a good man.
Me neither. There may be method to his madness. Must be quaking in fear that his state of SC (which went for Newt in a BIG way), is going to boot his ass out when he comes up for reelection. I wouldn't trust that RINO "friend and corrupt ally of McCain" any further than I can throw him.
Lindsey had great things to say in SC right after Newt won too...said he had matured. I think that’s when he decided to flip-flop on the Newt issue. All politics is local.
Newt seems pretty darn predictable to me. If you want low taxes, fiscal conservatism, social conservatism and a strong military, Newt has been about as consistent on those principles as you can get. No one seems to think otherwise except for befuddled Beckheads and sell-out Mittheads.
Unless all those Cain women come back on TV and say that they also “partied” with Newt, Santorum doesn’t have a chance. The results are in...3 states have shown us that he gets FAR less support than Newt in every state where he doesn’t spend 9 months personally shaking every voter’s hand. Stop dreaming and back a candidate who can win, not one who is likely to steal votes away from a fellow conservative.
Greta has the video up:
Just watched it on the replay and I am quite surprised that Juan McCain’s BFF is going for Newt!
Anybody But Romney, for now!
Anybody But 0BowMao in November!
Poor logic. Unsustainable.
