"What’s next? Dairy farmers being sued for enslaving their cattle?"

Exactly. How can you extend constitutional rights to one non-human animal and not to all?

Next comes reparations.

At issue here:

1. Courts have given standing to environmental groups.

2. How to overturn this fundamental mistake in jurisprudence?

3. In the mean time, why haven’t conservative groups created their own “environmental groups” in order to gain standing in federal courts? These could then exploit this entry mechanism to the courts to advocate for all sorts of conservative principles, whether they had anything actually to do with trees and whales and snail darters or not.

All part of PETA’s plan to ban the eating of meat. And in case you want to know what a plant based food supply looks like. Two words, POTATO FAMINE!

A-holes like this are ruining our Zoo’s, and now they are attacking Marine life exhibitions.

If the wheles have right , what about the other fish, and Ys, when they get around to it, they will go after dairy farmers.

Yes, these people are going that direction.

Ingrid Newkirk, co-founder of PETA:

"I don’t use the word 'pet.' I think it’s speciesist language. I prefer 'companion animal.' For one thing, we would no longer allow breeding. People could not create different breeds. There would be no pet shops. If people had companion animals in their homes, those animals would have to be refugees from the animal shelters and the streets. You would have a protective relationship with them just as you would with an orphaned child. But as the surplus of cats and dogs (artificially engineered by centuries of forced breeding) declined, eventually companion animals would be phased out, and we would return to a more symbiotic relationship — enjoyment at a distance."
