All true. The word has to be spread because most people don’t know all of that, nor that HSUS is cut from the same cloth (and does not support shelters but is a lobbying group). I think the real animal rights hard core are just control freaks, just like other liberals, only their schtick is non-human animals. But it’s the same old song and dance, they want us to do what they want us to do.

How true about HSUS.
Most people confuse them with their local animal shelter such as the SPCA. This is done on purpose. They want people to think they are giving money to support their local animal shelter. However, they and PETA are one of the largest killers of dogs and cats in the USA. They do not rehome animals. They confiscate and kill them.

Also, the other great myth they continue to spread is that there is problem with overpopulation of dogs in the US. This is not true in general. Certain states in the south(AL, MS, LA, AR) have dog problems. However, in most of the country responsible owners spay and neuter the dogs. This has caused shelters, especially in the northeast, to import dogs from the Carribean because there are not enough dogs turned into the shelters locally. They make money on “rehoming” dogs. That is their product. They need a consistant supply to run their business.
