Unfortunately tho, PETA and HSUS et al have done a great job of “educating” the public to believe that any breeder is a puppy mill and every purposefully bred litter kills a like number of shelter dogs by denying them a home. Try having that discussion, even here on FR (I’m sure you have). And unfortunately the Dog Fancy has been their own worst enemy as well, in trying to help the plight of the homeless pets. I am currently not even breeding since I live in a county with a restrictive breeder law. My Champion bitch is a spoiled rotten housepet who will likely never reproduce. Not that SHE cares.
We were looking at moving to another town here in NH.
I found out that the town only allows you to have one unspayed female. We currently have five. I guess we will not be moving there.
