Knicks G Jeremy Lin career-high 38 points (video)

Here's video of all 13 field goals by New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin on his way to a career-high 38 points against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.

Lin scored in every conceivable manner, knocking down 3-pointers, hitting pull-up jumpers, taking defenders off the dribble, hitting leaners and hitting a nifty spinning lay-up, among other feats of offensive genius.

The Knicks defeated the Lakers, 92-85, and Lin's 38 points were a game-high, topping Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. Lin finished 13-for-23 from the field and added 7 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals in 39 minutes. The Knicks were without All-Star forwards Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.

Here's the ridiculous highlight reel of every Jeremy Lin basket during his career-high game for the New York Knicks against the Los Angeles Lakers.

I am not much of a NBA fan, but you've got to admit this Lin guy put on quite a show!

He’s also a devout Christian. They are starting to call him the NBA’s Tebow, as in one who wasn’t given much of a chance and far exceeded expectations when he had his shot. I hope he keeps it up, if for nothing else to annoy the Progressives.

Haven’t watched an NBA game since they stopped dribbling the ball. Near as I can tell (I see game clips on the news) They mostly run along the floor jump high in the air...well a couple of feet anyway...they are six and a half feet tall, and jam the ball into the net.

What’s to watch?

Reminds me of Gilbert Arenas before he went crazy. A great scorer who can make some passes.

Would be nice for NY to have someone to cheer for on that team because Amare and Carmelo are both soft-ass douchebags.

I don’t follow B-Ball too closely (that’s what we used to call it), but I do know that the Knick fans love underdogs on their team, and Lin can well become a LEGEND in that city.

I wish people would learn to use words in their proper context. The word 'ridiculous' means causing or worthy of ridicule or derision. Is this really the message that the author of this article meant to convey?

Just more racism for this guy to have to deal with. He’s simply the wrong color be playing ball, according to the ‘experts’ - and that 38 point game against the Lakers - anyone can do that (LOL). I do wonder if the term ‘ridiculous’ would be used if he were black...

He sleeps on his brother’s couch. His brother is a student studying dentistry in NYC.

In some circles, “ridiculous” is slang for exceptionally good. I agree with you that it’s confusing. I also hate the use of “sick” for outstanding.

The Knicks have won four straight with Lin starting at PG. It'll be interesting to see how the team functions when Stoudemire and Anthony return. Commentators last night thought Stoudemire would thrive with Lin, but the one-on-one player Anthony might not blend in.

But it's pretty funny to see a losing team have such success with new players while their two big, highly paid "stars" are on the injured list.

Perhaps Mssrs. Stoudemire and Anthony could speed their recoveries by reading up on Wally Pipp.

I know what you mean. But read this from the Urban Dictionary:

ridiculous:

something that is unbelievable in some way shape or form, an event worthy of memory

dressed in ridicuous red and blue/like i don't see what the big deal is

WOW! thanks for posting this, of course I say he was front page news on the NY Post today, but not being a fan I didn’t read the article.

Of course I knew he’d done well, but indeed this scoring is ridiculous!

And didn’t he go to Yale? Or some other Ivy League school?

Not your typical NBAer, in any way I guess!

He looks old school, like Isaiah Thomas in the zone. It’s unusual for a talent like that to get past all the scouts, but it happens.

He was the best player in the Ivy League but there is no other way to describe his start with Knicks except as phenomenal.

I don’t follow the NBA that much. Lin scored is a lot of points, but Wilt scored 100 points in one game. Now, that is really something.
