Ron Paul has called Bradley Manning a hero, for bravely releasing national secrets to wikileaks. Has this damaged the US? Has it cost lives?

The loss of confidence from our allies alone, will result in a more dangerous world in my view.

Manning is a traitor. Ideally he would charged as a traitor, convicted and shot. The fact that Paul thinks he is a hero and patriot is enough to disqualify him without even considering the rest of his loony, conspiracy driven policies.

The amusing thing is the paulbots and left claim to love diplomacy rather than conflict, yet they support Manning who released massive amount of secret information that undermined our efforts at diplomacy all over the world.

Rarely is it possible to say that an intelligence leak caused a loss of US lives. The erosion of trust in US assurances of confidentiality is a clear and direct harm that Manning has caused. In compensation, his massive leak did much to show that the US was telling the truth on many international issues.

He’s no hero. He’s a homosexual who went on a deliberate espionage attack stealing copies of privileged documents so he could savage the military because he didn’t like “don’t ask, don’t tell”.

He’s a gaystapo soldier, not fighting for the USA.

Treason is a crime against the State.

On the other hand, it gave us a glimpse into how US troops gun down civilians (or dogs or goats) for sport sometimes. It’s unpleasant to acknowledge these things, but light needs to be shined on the military every now and then.

I am actually shocked this little Nancy boy was allowed to join the armed services.
