I had a malware problem (a redirect upon Google search) a while back and had a beatch of a time getting rid of it.

After doing much research online, I concluded that the purchase of Malwarebytes was the only solution and did so.

It did the trick.

That said, I would recommend that you do your own research just in case a new free product has emerged.
