Rigged and scripted? How do you rig a 3-pointer at the buzzer for a win?

you don't.. you rig the spread. nobody cares who "wins". find out the over and under and the spread.

Somebody basically explained the "no defense" phenomena earlier... he's asian... he figured it out.. bwahahahahahaha

New York Knicks vs. Toronto Raptors Point Spread - Pick Betting Odds: NY -3.5 / TOR +3.5 Over/Under Total: 189.5

http://www.predictem.com/forums/nba-point-spreads-picks/56135-new-york-knicks-vs-toronto-raptors-point-spread-pick.html

remember sports fan... the key is not only the spread but the over and under. pro sports is “entertainment”. Just like wrestling and the theater.

So the score is 90-87. The Knicks win.... oh my! but just under the spread...oh no!!! so the “public” is happy and so are the bookies.

The over and under is 189.5 and the total is 90+87=177... awww. So you bet the knicks to “win” and with Lin to “score”... well he does and dog gone it... you get him to score a lot a points but you still “lose”. bwahahahahaha

That’s what’s so funny. He’s such a “great story” that the money is going to pour in and bet the Lin “story”... cause that’s what it is, a story.

yawn. Now once upon a time there was this baseball team in 1919 that was soooooooooooo good called the Chicago White Sox. Now boys and girls we know what a beautiful and pure place Chicago is/was. Well these great players, played as hard as they could and ..................Cincinnati won..hahahaha

I’m sorry I didn’t clarify the “pressure” that Lin had.

none

If he made it, they win and he’s a hero. The bookies win cause the other two guys on the team that bumbled the first two attempts insured that no matter how it shook out that the knick would NOT cover the spread. Even with Lin playing awful defense the over and under was clamped down by the refs and maybe a couple of other players.

see , it’s easy to do if you have a couple of million to spend and refs and players with drug and women problems or “needs”. Remember back to the “isolated” NBA ref that was on the take. Man, that story disappeared quickly.

read “about the NBA” midway down this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Donaghy

thank God, that NFL refs, MLB umpires, and the rest of the NBA refs are pure.

There are all sorts of guys who firmly believe all pro-sports are rigged. (Actually, college games are more likely to be rigged.) I used to work with a guy who swore up and down that all NFL games were fixed. Nobody argued with him because he was one belligerent, very tough scrapper who didn’t tolerate dissent from his nutty opinions. But we all looked at him like he’d lost his marbles. Which he probably had. How an entire schedule of games for a pro league involving thousands of people over many years could be fixed without someone leaking it was never explained by my co-worker.
