In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
idoneous \ahy-DOH-nee-uhs\ adjective
Appropriate; fit; suitable; apt.
Example sentences:
As far as benefices are concerned no one could be more idoneous, fitting or suitable than Martin, since he is an Anglican clergyman.
-- Patrick O'Brian, The Truelove
It would hardly be possible to apply less idoneous adjectives to it than Watson's reiterated "wailing" and "haunting."
-- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, The Adventure of the Mazarin Stone
Etymology:
Idoneous is derived from the Latin word idōneus which meant "suitable."
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
For the most extravagant member of Kiss, he was also the smartest.
Thank you!
I think Gene Simmons is a pretty okay guy-he’s done well for an Israeli immigrant brought here as a little kid to New York, who was a teacher in NYC before he was anybody famous. He and his partner/wife have also brought up two decent-seeming kids, and they do not seem to have been overly permissive parents. He is outspoken to the point of rudeness about the drug problem in the music industry-almost as rude as the Nuge.
"you look terrific by the way"
well the man ain't blind.
