I agree, but everyone is not you. I congratulate you on your courage, gravitas, and will power, but individuals vary.
Some people try everything from patches, to pills, to gum and even hypnosis...with no luck.
I actually quit over 10 years ago, just like you did...just decided to quit and I did.
I know you probably look down on those who can't do that, but I am very thankful that there is something out there to help them, like e-cigs.
Bottom line: the post I made is not aimed at people like you, who can and did quit...it's for those people who have a hard time with it. If you look down on them, then you have more of a problem than the smokers have...

I NEVER look down on someone who is trying to better themselves, but people need to understand that they are more powerful than any bad habit. I do not agree that tobacco is addictive, a bad habit yes, addictive...no. Other than really desiring a cigarette, and not knowing what to do with your hands, smoking is just a bad habit. I know people who give up smoking for Lent and then resume smoking come Easter....smoking is enjoyable and satisfying, but not addictive.
