Obamacare vs. the Constitution

In 2010, when all this lay hazily in the future, the sheer arrogance of Obamacare energized a popular resistance powerful enough to deliver an electoral shellacking to Obama. Yet two years later, as the consequences of that overreach materialize before our eyes, the issue is fading. This constitutes a huge failing of the opposition party whose responsibility it is to make the opposition argument.

Where is the GOP leadership?

This is just another example of a Vichy Republican explaining that all is lost so we should just abide by the terms of surrender and let the democrat fascists run the country. Several folks I know didn't mind the idea of contraception being in insurance but were upset that there wasn't an exemption for religious institutions. When Barry announced his "compromise", they got livid because they saw it as him wanting to shove contraception down the throat of the Catholic Church even if it takes ignoring the Constitution to do so.

At least around here, Barry being so cute drove a good many folks from neutral to being opposed after his little transparent "compromise". One guy who thought a few tweaks here and there and it would all be fine got hopping mad at Barry for, "deliberately thumbing of his nose at the Catholic Church" (I know, I know, where has this guy been hiding?). Now, I strongly suspect this guy and a few others I know were looking for an excuse to side with the Church rather than with their leftist friends, but at least they're now openly on board opposing this scam.

It's a real shame that people are so dense that they think their Constitutional rights can be "tweaked" away a little at a time, but maybe this and the next shoe Barry drops will finally convince people that Barry and the fascist democrat party really are hell bent on shredding the Constitution.
