Saddle up as the Red Bull Racing team and the F1 showcar gets chased by cowboys on the ranch and goes off-road onto the under-construction Circuit of the Americas track.
The F1 Circuit of the Americas takes place in Austin, Texas on November 18, 2012.
Looks awesome.
F1 ping....
problem with the race is its on again off again...not to long after this video was shot work on the track halted for more than a month because of a huge contract/cash snafu and it came down to the wire as to whether or not it would be on the 2012 calender...
its supposedly sorted out but with everything else F1 that deals with the USA i’ll believe it when i see it....
I’d love to see it happen, but I’m still skeptical. If I does, though, I’d like to think we’d be able be there.
Why do they need a new track? What's wrong with Mid-Ohio or Elkhart Lake or Watkins Glen or Sebring or Laguna Seca or.....? You get my meaning.

There are plenty of other courses, including any place running Indy cars or ALMS cars.
California alone has Laguna Seca, Sonoma, Long Beach, California Speedway road course, etc.
Doing it in Austin is commendable, however. Maybe it will become a great and famous race course.
That car must’ve been beast to handle on that dirt road.
Great video! I can’t wait until November 18th!!
I live in Austin, it sure seems to be happening. Local paper had articles that they have raised over $150 million thus far, the track is making real progress, and the seat options have already been sold. Check out http://cota.com for progress reports.
