The fascination endures nearly 100 years later with all things regarding Titanic. In July 2001, Robert Williams (on the right), visited the ship's debris field on a 2-1/2 mile dive.

Here are his theories, which I am neither supporting nor denying. They're posted as part of this thread since the topic of what happened and when did it happen continues to draw interest nearly a century later. And, or course, there are the inevitable "what if" scenarios, actions that could have been taken to either prevent or mitigate the disaster.
