Having already delivered a potentially fatal blow to fading West Virginia on Friday night, Marquette coach Buzz Williams couldn't resist taking a parting shot at the Mountaineers immediately after the final buzzer. As John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" played over the loudspeakers at WVU Coliseum, Williams celebrated a 61-60 win by pantomiming a ballroom-style dance right in front of the student section.
Williams' dance inspired a reaction from the student section reminiscent of what happens when a lit match is tossed on a kerosene-soaked pile of kindling. West Virginia students were so livid with the Marquette coach that they had to be held back by security as they screamed at Williams during his courtside postgame TV interview.

There appeared to be about seven or eight idiots who were upset over a rather bush league insult. I guess the koran protesters aren’t the only people who act like lunatics.
He better watch out, one of those WVU’ers might ignite a couch under his rear end one day.
He was happy at the win, he wanted to dance. It was a little ballroom type move. The fans overreacted.
Maybe, he shouldn’t have done it, but I can see how the mood can overtake him after a close win and a catchy song come on.
I guess you need to know where and where not to celebrate. Mob mentality is dangerous and as hard as it is to believe, that “college” crowd could have gotten violent.
It does seem that violence is now in the air.
I have noticed that. Everyone is upset at the very slightest thing. There is too much pressure nowdays and it is spilling over into everything. No one can have fun and relax anymore.
I don’t think I’d do anything to make Bob Huggins madder than he probably already was. I think that guy can kill you with just a look.
It s a game ! Deploy to a war zone a couple of times and see if someone dancing after a win gets you even remotely riled up !
People need to grow up and look at where the real problems lie in this world.
