..it’s that I’m mad he wasn’t ontop of the Newt smears on bloody Thursday.

I get sick of those kinds of complaints. You think Newt needs somebody else to come to his rescue?
I suggest Newt smear back, double.

The fact is that Newt has much less money than needed and that when Newt was ahead, he completely blew it in Florida. He has a massive mouth that most people are tired of hearing.

Who doesn't have less money than needed except Romney? If you only like candidates who have enough money, vote RINO Mitt. Santorum had great momentum coming out of Iowa and blew it in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida, Nevada. Had great momentum again in February and just blew it in Arizona, Michigan, etc. You don't think people are tired of hearing Santorum talk about snobs, throwing up, how his papa was a coal miner and how he doesn't use contraception?

Personally, I'm watching as many Newt speeches and interviews as I can on YouTube. I learn something new about history or politics or just hear a great joke or a funny anecdote in every one. I'm far from tired of hearing Newt speak. He's one of the only politicians I can remember since Reagan who actually has charisma and knows how to communicate on a basic human level, not in sound bites and focus-grouped applause lines.

You know, there was so much scientific confusion about this back at that time. We had a number of conservatives on our side thinking GW had some impact. Most now are leaning the other direction (thank goodness). I don’t hold Nancee against him. He has said it was wrong. Like I said, at that time, it was a lot of media confusion. People need to realize this to be honest.

That’s silly on Romney’s part, as all polls show that all of Newt’s support will go to Santorum (while Santorum’s voters don’t necessarily go to Newt). Romney is wasting his money in Georgia. Right now, the big prize is Ohio, because no Republican has won without Ohio. In many ways, Ohio is more important than Michigan for the general election.

I’m more concerned with Santorum’s lack of honesty!

He’s a “compassionate Christian” who founded a charity in the State of Pennsylvania then forgot to register it with the state!

In 2001, following up on a faith-based urban charity initiative around the 2000 GOP convention in Philadelphia, Santorum launched a charitable foundation called the Operation Good Neighbor Foundation. While in its first few years the charity cut checks to community groups for $474,000, Operation Good Neighbor Foundation had actually raised more than $1 million, from donors who overlapped with Santorum’s political fund raising.

Where did the majority of the charity’s money go? In salary and consulting fees to a network of politically connected lobbyists, aides and fundraisers, including rent and office payments to Santorum’s finance director Rob Bickhart, later finance chair of the Republican National Committee.

Experts say a responsible charity doles out at least 75 percent of its income in grants. Shockingly, the figure for Operation Good Neighbor Fund was less than 36 percent. The charity – which didn’t register with the state of Pennsylvania as required under the law -— was finally disbanded in 2007.

Add the above to his supposed stance against government waste, but not when it came to his family.

During his years in the Senate, Santorum raised his family in northern Virginia and rarely if ever seemed to use the small house that he claimed as his legal residence, in a blue-collar Pittsburgh suburb called Penn Hills.

Pennsylvania voters were shocked when they found out the Penn Hills School District had paid out $72,000 for the home cyberschooling of five of Santorum’s kids, hundreds of miles away in a different state. The cash-strapped district was unsuccessful in its efforts to get any of its money back from Santorum.

Romney is a Democrat pretending to be a conservative Republican, so his honesty is questionable, too. Between Romney and Santorum there isn’t much in the way of integrity.

“I mean come on, for all the supposed intelligence that Newt has, who would win a one on one debate on conservatism between he and Palin? I think the answer is pretty obvious.”

Uhhh... No disrespecxt to Sarah, but Newt, hands down. While smiling and making her look good, too.

Your tagline applies quite nicely to yourself....

Newt Gingrich was SOLIDLY ahead in national polls for months until Romney's $17 million smear campaign in Florida.

I hope he makes Romney eat his dust.

Santorum won state-wide twice running on a conservative platform in a deep blue state. A lot of Republicans got run out of office in 2006. Santorum had a thin margin of error in Pennsylvania, and he stood on principle, not like Newt, who firmly stakes out both sides of major issues.

You say Santorum sucks with women and catholics for actually adhearing to the teachings of the Church, but offer no proof, and then you trun around and say that Newt, a serial adulterer will appeal to catholic women. You must not think to highly of Catholic Women.

It doesn’t matter anyway, Newt could drain enough votes to force Santorum into a tie in Michigan, but Newt may not win another state other than Georgia. All Newt is doing is ensuring a Romney win and an Obama second term.

Newt should stick to what he does best, influence peddeling.

Rick Santorum help Trent Lott KILL the impeachment proceedings in the Senate, which kept that gutter snipe Clinton in office. He is the (out of his own mouth) a ‘team player’.

AND all the Catholic women I personally know are liberal and unless directed otherwise from on high will vote again for Obama. Liberals know this about many Catholic women, which is why they decided to make the funding of ‘birth control’ a political issue. Rick took their bait. Socialized medicine was old saint in waiting Teddy Kennedy's life work.... and Nancy the ‘red’ Pewlouise and Bart Stupak made socialized medicine a reality.

Obama would make mincemeat out of Santorum.

....and Romney would leave 0bambiCare in place.

It doesn’t help when one of the most high profile conservatives in the media is giving credibility to Newt smears. He did nothing about it. It was resolved entirely by other people, and only after all the damage was done.
