More like beacon and big beacon!
I have a lovely old Nikon - I think it is an e 200mm - a huge lens which captures almost as much light as a 50mm. Wish I could remember exactly the type, but it has an integral ‘pod mount and it’s in a big leather Nikon case...

Better check it, that leather case is a good place for fungus to flourish and contaminate the lens coatings.
