POTRERO (CBS) A woman was killed early Tuesday when her husband, who had allegedly been drinking, accidentally shot a homemade cannon into the couples home.
Homicide detectives with the San Diego County Sheriffs Department are investigating the 33-year-old womans death, which took place in the 25000 block of Potrero Valley Road.
Authorities say she was found dead at 12:15 a.m. after a cannonball fired by her husband and another man slammed into a residence at the Twin Lakes Resort mobile home park.
It appears the accident happened while the two men were tinkering with the cannon.
Officials say the area, which is near the Mexican border, is known for unusual activity.
A Cal Fire dispatcher told San Diegos CBS8 that one of the two men was transported to a local hospital with injuries he sustained during the blast
ya just can’t make this stuff up..
How do you accidently shoot a cannon??
Is that like accidently creating a nuclear bomb?
Merely confirms that most democrats don’t know which end of the tube the round comes out.
shouldn’t this be considered negligent homicide, like drunk driving?
Doesn’t mention what bore the cannon was or what the projectile was. If you’re going to “tinker” with your cannon, do it before it’s armed
Story doesn’t give much detail. If the range was more than 5 feet, I’d say accident
Aqui, ten mi cerveza!
You are correct so the press will, most likely, refer to said weapon as an ak47 from here forward.
I was being facetious.
Now parts of his family are;
“Blowin’ in the wind”
Praying for everyone involved with this tragedy.
“Now parts of his family are;
Blowin in the wind”
And “A Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall”
Looks like a hell of a July 4th celebration who’s got the Brat’s & Beer.
Or maybe trying to stick a fork into a wall outlet, that sounds like a nice safe hobby for these guys.
Early Sinko De Mayo?
THIS is exactly why I only use my Mortar near my home. The Cannon is only used on my Boat. I AM Jack Sparrow... YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Not criticizing your comment. The story contains too few details to criticize anyone but the reporter
Bueno!
When a spouse is involved, NOTHING is “accidental”.....
