Missing hiker found with cat in New Mexico forest
Reasons were that a Forest Service ranger spotted her car on Feb. 12, "but didn't think much of it because hikers leave vehicles near trails all the time," said a state police spokesman. A second Forest Service ranger noticed the car on Feb. 25 but didn't contact state police until 10 days later. Seems like there should be a registration box at the trail head to let a ranger know when you departed and when you plan to return.
Also, she has a history of mental illness. She had a tent with her but didn't put it up. Guess the bears are still in hibernation and the reintroduced wolves full with rancher's new born calves.
