Sorry, no reply. I am leaving this forum.
I think what you articulated was well said and just the sort of thing that has been lacking from conversation here.
Why leave? Why not spread the word?
Newt is great, he is a logical choice for Conservative Libertarian like myself. However, he is giving us Romney by staying in. As to him walking away from a brokered convention as the nominee, that wont happen.. For the same reason you stated. He won 2 states, one of which is his home.
Newt is exactly what we need, but if he cant get votes in the south, hopw well will he do in washington, Oregon, Ohio etc..
I connect with Newt, I agree with Newt and I wish he was the next President. But if he can’t get the mushy middle voter, he will get us 4 more years of Saul Alinsky. I am all for whoever can make Obama have a worse reelection than Carter.
This the same Newt that, while speaking to high school students in Illinois, decided that giving advice on how to open a bar would be a good idea?
I like Newt
I think it is a beautiful post. Stay here. There are Newt
supporters here and admire him as well.
We're fixin' to see some of the most interesting times since the Fall of Rome; perhaps like the Revolution, or the Civil War.
In spite of the discomfort or unpleasantness ahead, it's just delightful to see the look in people's eyes when the light comes on, and they realize how utterly stupid they and their comrades have been. One early freeper called this the "Oh Sh!t" epiphany.
It isn't just the Democrats that are in for a rude awakening. Liberal Republicans, evangelicals, religious fruitcakes of all sorts, jock faggots, corporate snakes, gamers, hollywood groupies -- anybody hiding out in their own fantasia -- can have their world turned upside-down, and everything they thought they believed shown to have been a huge pack of lies.
It's long overdue.
