Something happens and 17 year old girl gets pregnant. You often have embarrassed parents, panicked boyfriend (who often pressures for abortion or skips town), boyfriend's parents, and social pressures all trying to point a confused and scared girl into an abortion, where Planned Barrenhood makes their money. Business.
I wasn't a perfect guy by any stretch of the imagination, but I was brought up a certain way. If she's pregnant, get the ring. Do the right thing.
