Since the late 1980s when Bundy was active, rape and murder have plunged in the US.* There is actually a pretty strong negative correlation between the availability of porn and these crimes. To put it another way, if porn were causal, wouldn't you expect an increase in rape and murder?

Actually, the fact that the murder and rape rate has DECLINED rapidly at the exact same time as:

1) Easy availability of internet porn has exploded
2) Introduction rapidly increasing popularity of violent video games
3) Popularity of Gangsta Rap, Death Metal, etc. has increased

Is an awfully inconvenient embarrassment for a lot of people for axes to grind, from across the political spectrum.

Your right. There is strong evidence that porn is harmful. The illegal porn collates with higher rates of violent crime.
