MM, what do you think about Santorum's jumping to conclusions about this case?

Can we trash the ridiculous things he has said about this? It would appear he was really wrong to accept the MSM talking points, it speaks poorly about his judgment.

Does Zimmerman have recourse against Santorum for these slanderous statements?

So you’re satisfied, and that’s fine with me. I’m not going to attend a candlelight vigil to protest your satisfaction and I trust you won’t attend one against additional investigation. :)

That’s just plain false that we have seen equally nasty things said about Newt here on FR.

And everyone knows why.

Better known as Elvis' parody of Paul Shanklin's "In a Yugo." ;)

Mary, I have no doubt you’re a patriot and that you love America. I haven’t been here that long, but you and I have had only friendly dealings with one another, and I hope that continues.

I agree that NOTHING is too low for Romney, and I believe that his people will do anything to win. And I believe he knows it and sanctions it. But the idea that Newt supporters, by definition, are Romney operatives, is just, well, silly. I readily admit I wish Newt was doing better-—it makes me sick that he isn’t. And I wish Santorum supporters would drop Rick and get behind Newt, because I think Newt is by far the best man for the job. But I don’t think you all are closet Romney supporters for not doing so.

If in doubt about a person, usually a search of their posting history is a very good clue, IMO.

Onyx, thank you for the ping.

C of A: I didn’t mean to suggest that about Newt supporters..and to my knowledge, I never said that.

I heard that Mittens people have invaded blogs to create chaos and attack Mitten’s opponents...

And I still believe that could be true, with what is coming out about their ethically challenged campaign operatives.

If there was no chase, you are correct. It strikes me as rather strange, however, that if Martin had criminal intent, his failure to carry any kind of weapon was pretty dumb. Bob

Teen burglars usually don’t carry firearms when they do a job. They don’t expect to encounter anyone.

That is why Martin was so distressed by being questioned; he knew that Zimmerman could pick him out of a lineup.

I agree with YOU. I am very upset that the local police department waited WEEKS to begin to present facts exculpatory to Zimmerman.
My cousin was gunned down by two rich white guys at age 40, and a friend of mine faced prosecution when her new husband’s drug dealing came under investigation, and not HIM. Florida officials, in both cases, bent over backward to try to protect the guilty. Then there was Terri Schiavo. Thus, when talking Florida, I am inclined to believe in police malfeasance more than most folks. Bob
