Enough is enough! Do a 'google' search on Obama & gas prices and you'll see a slew of articles from Reuters, AP, ane other news media that universally claim fault with republicans while holding Obama blameless. They are shamelessly promoting and aiding Obama's PR campaign to distort the truth.
For one, there's no secret that Democrats have opposed drilling oil domestically whether it is offshore, ANWR, etc. Al Gore called for $5.00 a gallon over a decade ago, Chu called for $8.00, and the left openly calls for extremely high energy prices to FORCE us to quit using fossil fuels. After all, we lack imagination because the American people, investors, companies, etc. overlook the vast potential of algae.
Factcheck.org, FYI - just because Chu said in 08 doesn't mean it isn't relavant. I'm not gonna bother ripping your article pieces..it is evident to all that read it.
It is amazing that the federal government owns most of Alaska, Nevada, Utah,etc. and it totals some 650 million acres of land. Obama & the Democrats have cost us 750,000 jobs and a several hundred billion in economic output by blocking drilling in ANWR.
Then there's the keystone pipeline that Obama has blocked and lobbied against because apparently Chuck Schumer prefers Saudi oil instead of 850,000 barrels a day from Canada. Then when companies go ahead and build as much as possible, Obama can take a page from Clinton's playbook without any pesky factcheckers bothering to point out his hinderance.
As for the bogus 2% claim Obama uses, the Washington Post factchecker did a decent job pointing out that there's 200 billion barrels of recoverable oil not included in the 'proven reserves.' There's actually another 400 billion and 800 billion in shale oil. We could be independent by 2024, but Democrats are leading us to ruin.
Europe, except for Russia and Norway, have no oil reserves. Japan has no oil reserves. China has only half the reserves we have.America is an energy leader, but Obama makes it sound like wrre running on empty. Hell, proven reserves have doubled over thirty years.
Obama, how about we rip on your 'green economy' and your boast of 5 million jobs. You must feel like a kid again, but those billions of dollars you waste come from the American people..your record is destroying jobs, costing us billions in economic output, and causing us to pay a lot more for our energy.

This administration, and everyone involved with it, needs to be sent packing, and virtually everything they have done in the last four years reversed and the “wonk complex” they have left like termites and tapeworms in the government disassembled. The next President’s first job should be this, which will probably take some time to undo.
The bad news is, that any business that plans for the future out 5,10,20 years on large-scale projects will have to consider that their plans can always be completely changed every four years. That will be the lasting damage of the Obama administration that unfortunately cannot be undone.
I know, imagine that, Big Oil employs something like 7 million people, generates 86 million a day in revenue, and has invested 2 trillion since 2000 and that’s an industry that has to have a congressional vote to do their business contending with the Democrats absolutely ruinous agenda of obstructing and destroying our harnessing of vast energy resources. We haven’t built a nuclear power plant in thirty years. We know why Obama won’t leave office, start a private company, and let Soros & friends fund his algae-as-fuel scheme..because it is a scam that requires government to knee-cap real energy and prop up junk science with our money. It pisses me off that these arrogant, unaccountable leftists can harm our economy and impoverish people so Sierra Club millionaires can feel superior. There green on the outside and red to the core.
