This morning at the Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, Virginia, the church was a "Hoodie Service" in honor of Trayvon Martin.
Of course, lip service was given to 'prayer and healing' but the presumption made by the pastor and parroted by the congregation was it was a 'hate crime' by the racist Zimmerman. There was no condemnation for those calling for vigilante justice. There was no calls for patience in the system. Instead, the service was playing that Martin was an innocent victim of a racist attack.
This is actually a pretty diverse church both in race and political belief. The narrative seems to be sown in most people's minds at this point.
Obama been laudin' that martial law! Obama! Mmmm mmmm mmm!

We are always trying to reach their minds. But of course you are right, most people aren’t deep thinkers and don’t pay a lot of attention to politics. (Of course a lot of people are complete idiots, but never mind that for now.)
Sloganeering, etc. are important. People deride the “sound byte” but the fact is that’s about all the info people are willing to pay attention to, or retain.
Look at ads for products, does the laundry detergent ad go on and on about how it works and why it’s a good bargain? No - it just says “Gets your clothes clean” and that’s enough.
Funny, I don’t see anything in that Wiki article about crime and hoodies.
