You didn’t use a /s after that, so I’m a little worried that you might think either of those questions accurately reflect the goals of the left.
There have been some recent threads on Critical Race Theory that you might enjoy reading, and then a little history on the development and use of liberation theology would further your enlightenment on leftist politics, hate mongering and race baiting.
For a much deeper appreciation of leftist politics, economics and goals you might enjoy Hayek’s book, The Road to Serfdom. I have found that many people who don’t understand racial politics in America have failed to learn the lessons of Europe with socialism during the early 20th century. Neither Hitler nor Stalin happened in a vacuum, and as many intellectuals of the age observed, fascism was merely what happened when the illusion went out of socialism. They recognized that there was no difference between Hitler and Stalin. You might ask how any of that has anything to do with 21st century America, and I would remind you of how the LA riots, and the murdering of a white truck driver on national TV galvanized the left. They reveled in the social justice of it all. That is what the left is about, pitting one class against another, one race against another, whatever divides society. The American left is a coalition of radical and militant groups, augmented by people who are afraid of losing their share of wealth redistribution, and people who have been brainwashed into thinking the politics of social justice equal fairness and intellectual enlightenment. Have you ever wondered why the left accuses conservatives of being racists? Why the Tea Party has been compared with the KKK and Nazis? It’s because the left needs that type of rhetoric and agitation to keep its base energized. That there isn’t an ounce of truth in what they are saying matters not one bit. ...Do you think the left would malign and lie about conservatives the way they do, if racial understanding and ending poverty were real goals? Of course the left wants to elevate this tragic event into their arena of hate politics. It’s how they energize their base.
