What if George Zimmerman had a more hispanic sounding name?

Posted on 03/25/2012 6:25:03 PM PDT by Halfmanhalfamazing

How much you want to bet that if "George Zimmerman" were instead "Pedro Zimmerman", or even how about "Pedro Hernandez". If he were Juan Gonzales, or Joze Bustamonte, Carlos Rodriguez, or Eduardo Garcia.......

There's no way the media could do the race baiting that they're getting away with now.

Everybody knows only white people can be racist. *SARCASM*

“There’s no way the media could do the race baiting that they’re getting away with now.”

Remember the black-on-white here in Baltimore last year?

That made a good deal of news (but no protests/riots).

Probably mainly because the “white” was a transexual/homo. If she was a regular boring white person, only us locals might’ve heard something on the nightly news that night only.

Oh, the webs liberals weave.

His first name might be Jorge. My brother in law has an employee who is Hispanic and his name is Jorge but he tells people to call him George(That it’s easier for people to pronounce)

Dhahrun Ravi probably should have had his name changed to Giuseppe Multisanti the second the crowd in North Jersey decided to peg him for the Tyler Clementi deal.

There is lots of Zimmermans in my Hispanic home country of Paraguay. At least since the end of WWII.

Then La Raza wouldn’t have had this statement:
“The death of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed African American teenager who was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch member in a gated community outside Orlando, FL, remains an unresolved and disturbing incident. The lack of action from the police—despite mounting evidence that the findings of their initial and unconscionably cursory investigation are incorrect—has led to national outrage, online petitions with thousands of signatures, national mobilizations, and a Department of Justice investigation...”

They’d have probably had to instead show some concern about an Hispanic being railroaded ...

They said his fathers name is Robert Zimmerman (no kidding)

"My son what have you done?"

Bob Dylan, ( /ˈdɪlən/) born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941, is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He has been an influential figure in popular music and culture for five decades.[1][2] Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when he was an informal chronicler and a seemingly reluctant figurehead of social unrest. A number of Dylan's early songs, such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'", became anthems for the US civil rights[3] and anti-war[4] movements. Leaving his initial base in the culture of folk music behind, Dylan's six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone" has been described as radically altering the parameters of popular music in 1965.[5] However, his recordings employing electric instruments attracted denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement
