The mistake you’re making is in thinking that the vast bulk of the American electorate is going to make a decision based on logic and some sort of a real analysis the way you or I would. I believe there are a lot of people out there who are going to vote for the person they feel has the bigger Johnson, and the thing which is really hard to get your head around is that those people’s votes count for exactly as much as ours do. The one thing we know about Romney is that he is the only one of the remaining candidates ever to win an election outside of solid red territory. He does seem to believe in American exceptionalism and he would not keep the present damper on American energy policy. I know that isn’t much, but it’s better than all numbers coming in negative which is what we have now.

I disagree. I have faith in the voting public, whereas you do not. Rather, it is a case of people not voting to vote for a candidate who doesn’t represent them and fails to offer any alternative. As for the two vague reasons you offer, let me point out Romney still believes in global warming and implemented his own cap and trade. Romney did become govenor in 2002, but Reagan won his state with 200,000 more votes in the 80s, Romney didn’t run for re-election because he was going to lose and the republicans were broken after 2006. And I could argue by that logic for Santorum winning a blue state.

Well, then, is your position that we should just turn the GOP over to whatever POS is the most effective serial liar with the backing of the maximum number of corrupt zillionaires expecting their payoffs after the inauguration of the POS? This is nothing but a prescription for the destruction of the nation, much less of the GOP as an effective political vehicle.

Robamney won exactly one election, ending a string of "Republican" governors of Taxachusetts. He did so by cuddling up to the perps of the abortion holocaust, by giving personal money to Planned Barrenhood, by advocating the acceptance of "gay" perversion, by being a gun grabber, and by being a materialist meathead. AFTER he lied and claimed to have become pro-life in 2005, he established in 2006 his mandatory socialized medicine scheme forcing the Catholic Church and other pro-life churches and folks to fund abortions and birth control and other immorality through their premiums and providing abortions with a $50 co-pay and putting Planned Barrenhood on the Board of Robamneycare. Then, he ran away with his tail between his legs when his favorables dropped to 38% and turned Taxachusetts over to Coupe Deval Patrick, Obamanation East.

Georgia was no reliable "red state" when Gingrich first won election as a congressman there. Jimmuh Peanut was POTUS and carried Georgia in 1976 and 1980. Peanut had been GA governor when elected POTUS. Other Democrat governors since then included Ben Barnes and Zell Miller. Zell Miller (a generally fine man though Democrat) was elected to the Senate after serving as governor. The execrable Max Cleland was also elected US senator from GA after Newt was elected to Congress. So, let's give a rest to the notion that GA was a "solid red" state. That has no more credibility than does the Massachusetts mushball.

Pennsylvania? Solid red territory???? Puhleeze! Other than Ronald Reagan's campaigns, would you care to list the POTUS elections when Pennsylvania voted GOP??? Would a governor like Eddie Rendell (Demonrat National Chairman) sound to you like a victor in "solid red territory?" The late Governor Robert Casey was a moderate (not an absolute) social conservative but certainly not a Republican. Robert Casey, Jr., is far, far worse than his dad. VP Joseph Gaffe Biden is, as are the Caseys, a native of Scranton. Did you see the Republican Arlen Specter as a Republican in reality or as a Democrat Senator in training within the GOP caucus? Politically, former GOP governor Tom Ridge was about as conservative as Janet Napolitano or Willard Robamney. Spare us. Jerry Sandusky may have a future in the PA GOP in the unlikely event that he is not convicted and imprisoned forever. OR Willard can etch-a-sketch his post-nomination campaign by promising to the pervert American community that he will pardon Sandusky at the inauguration and name him to the cabinet (as a recess appointment, if necessary).

Mitt Romney no more believes in American exceptionalism than Obozo does. He will soon enough put a damper on energy policy as a pseudo-Republican advocate of Cap and Tax. After all, raise the price enough and maybe Ann Romney can drive both Cadillacs at once without all those uppity serfs clogging her highways. Of course, she more likely drives Rolls Royces, but never mind! Ohhhh, Muffy! Ohhhh, Skipper! Isn't the Mittwit just wonderful!!!! He understands our every priority and not just the protection and enhancement of our trust funds!!!!! No more "anti-choicers" or narrow-minded folks who refuse to recognize the need for same sex "marriage" or just icky wars. Mitt will attend yacht regattas and polo tournaments as America's most important sports events every year. No more of those loser peasants who cling to their guns and their bibles interfering in OUR political party! It will just be so wonderful!
