[Article dated April 15, 2011] Tushon Brown pleads guilty in 14-year-old's death

A 36-year-old Sheraden man accused of stabbing, killing and trying to dismember a 14-year-old girl last year pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder in exchange for a sentence of life in prison without parole.

As Tushon Brown entered his admission of guilt, relatives of Lauren Deis packed the courtroom of Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Edward Borkowski. When it came time for the girl's mother to speak, she placed two framed photos of her daughter on the counter.

Will CNN (Soledad O'Brien, Piers Morgan, Anderson Cooper), break into regular news with a "Breaking" Segment and have a "Discussion on Race Sorely Needed in America" about African-Americans killing Whites?

Uh. No. I don't thinnnnnk so.

Thing is 80% of America KNOWS the mainline MSM is so full of crap on this selective outrage trying to get Obama reelected by setting the national tone of group handwringing.

I honestly think a much higher percentage of Americans (of ALL races) know that blacks commit a vastly disproportionate amount of violent crimes.

Jesse Jackson even seems to know this.

This is why making an issue out of the Treyvon Martin killing (even if Zimmerman were to be found guilty of manslaughter, which I think would be the highest crime he could plausibly be convicted of) has very limited usefulness.

Having “hoodie” masses and marches are one thing, but if there should be any “retaliatory” violence over this incident the blow back will likely knock Obama right out of the WH.

But after seeing this crew in action for 3 years I’m more than willing to believe they are too stupid to realize that.

Dire warning: The parole board ignored a plea on Tushon Brown

One of the saddest things that can be said about the horrific murder of 14-year-old Lauren Deis is that it could have been prevented if state officials had heeded a warning by a respected Allegheny County prosecutor.

Deputy District Attorney Janet R. Necessary, an expert who has specialized in sexual assault cases for 30 years, sent a strongly worded letter to both the state Department of Corrections and the Board of Probation and Parole on July 2, 2008. Tushon Brown, the convicted sex offender who now is charged with killing the East Liberty teenager, was being considered for parole at the time, after serving the minimum of his 7 1/2-to-15-year sentence.

The parole board seeks input from prosecutors and others before making decisions on release, but writing such a letter is a rarity rather than the norm for Ms. Necessary. In her letter, she recounted in detail two sexual assault cases he committed and said "Tushon Brown's actions in the premeditated scheme to rape the young student demonstrate his dangerousness. He is a predator in every sense of the word." Further, she said, "I believe that Tushon Brown is extremely dangerous and will commit other sex crimes if released on parole."
