Why isn’t Spike Lee going to prison?
That would be a twofer: (1) Spike Lee pays the 70ish Zimmermans about $10 million from his “stash” and (2) goes to prison for reckless endangerment. That's win-win: just compensation AND take out the trash at the same time.
