"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

I'm thinking Dragnet and Behind The Mike. I grew up watching - and even helping - that particular sausage being made first hand, so I don't know if it's a nostalgia trip, or I'm just a glutton for punishment. LOL

Well, Vision, the radio station did not fire me for writing a column which talked some about the ordeal, and my opinion of their decision, so I guess it was “hanging in there.” I still have a part-time radio job, anyway, even though my radio blogs are no longer on the air.

How about you? You doin’ alright?

Well be confident they like you.

I'm good. Work needs to be taken day by day but I'm blessed.

Started landscaping the yard this weekend and...and there is so much more to do. Yikes!

Oh, boy! Yard work, landscaping, weeding—it never ends!

We do landscaping as part of our work, and our own yard is desperately needing some serious attention! With the freakishly mild winter, the weeds are out of hand—as are the mosquitoes and other bugs.

We have collected soooo many plants from people who want us to get rid of something and replace it. I don’t have the heart to throw away perfectly good plants, so our yard has seemingly hundreds of plants!

By the way, I started to collect the synopses of the shows to post like Steel does and ran into a roadblock when I could not find the Jack Benny show, so I dropped it.

I wish Steel would come back. I wonder what happened with him and this site...

I love Roundup.

However there is an area that is kinda nasty and I may pay to have that done.

I don't know. But that weekend many people were upset, getting banned or leaving over a Santorum thread where he insulted Protestants or another domination.

We use Roundup like crazy. It’s hard to use when you have weeds all around good plants, but we regularly treat people’s yards for weeds.

Spectracide “Weedstop for Lawns” is a good product you can hook to your hose if you have a weed problem in the lawn. It takes care of a number of weeds, but does not hurt grass.

Oh, I see. I guess that means he's a catholic. I didn't know.

This site is freakish with all the various "religions" going at each other--the mormons, the catholics and then the straight, Bible-believing Christians (like me and Keith). It's a tough, deceived world in which we live.

Yea. Gunsmoke deals with some dark plots but I belive it's a testament to how rough the West was.
