You could split Alaska into 3 equal-sized states, all bigger than texas. That’s Alaska big.

LOL! If you drive I-10 from Houston to El Paso, TX, you have covered about half the distance from Houston to San Diego, CA. Heck, 600 miles is about the drive into town for a six pack of Lone Star.
