I have two words for the prosecutor:
Mike Nifong.
The DUmmies are treating this as absolute proof that refutes Zimmerman’s whole story, and that his goose is cooked. They don’t understand that the prosecution has to PROVE all this to a jury, beyond a reasonable doubt.
But in walking, the riots are defered to a more useful, predictable time. That he was charged only adds to the outrage to come. This is political theater.
Imagine my surprise.
I could think of a billion ways to win this case for Zimmerman. I'd put on trial the media Sharpton, Jackson, the state of Florida, and the hostile witness list would be more than the hash marks on the oldest soldier's sleeve.
I predict the charges will be dismissed at the evidence hearing. According to FL law no further charges can be brought and no civil trial can occur if it is dismissed.
Zimmerman should walk, but he will be up against the biggest railroad job and kangaroo court show trial in the history of the US.
The only thing the affidavit is meant to show is probable cause to charge him. It is not a full listing of evidence, and it isn’t supposed to contain enough evidence to convict. Having said that, it still sounds pretty weak to me.
So now we’ve now have an apparently “conservative Republican” prosecutor issuing an affidavit that might as well have been written by Sharpton?
What a circus!
It’d be comical were it not for the fact that a man who appears very unlikely to be actually guilty of murder is being put through this at the behest of a bunch of left-wing goons and race pimps.
Coming from where it did I expected the affidavit to present some “game changer” piece of evidence.. a cell phone cam or something.. that justified the charge.
As the case stands now, we have the most reliable eyewitness, one who saw and heard the events immediately prior to the shot, saying Martin was beating Zimmerman and Z. was calling for help, while on the other end we’ve got theories, speculations, character assassination (the profiling garbage), and now prosecution “theories” built on witness who’ve crawled out of the woodwork, changed their stories, or been exposed to weeks of propaganda and pressure.
What a travesty.

I wonder why everyone ignores the witness “John” who SAW Trayvon on top of Zimmerman beating him and SAW Zimmerman screaming for help. Everyone ignores this witness. CNN even had an online piece on all the witnesses and left this man out. Who cares what a relative thinks they heard on a recording or what some 3rd party sound company says...WE HAVE A WITNESS!!!

There seem to be some inaccuracies in the affadavit, along with lots of spin.
1) The “police dispatcher” seemed to actually be a 911 operator. I believe he answered the call by asking if GZ needed “police, fire or medical”.
2) The 911 operator did not “instruct” GZ not to follow TM, he simply said, “We don’t need you to do that.”, in a very casual tone of voice. It was certainly not a order.
3) They claim that TMs girlfriend said he TM was “running”, but the the recording of the interview she says that he was “walking fast” and she told him to run, but he said he would not run. Logic would also dictate that a 6’2” 160 lb football player should be easily able to outrun the short, portly Zimmerman, especially with a head start.
BTW, has have the results of the toxicology tests on the corpse of Saint Trayvon been released yet?
I at least thought they would indicate from what angle Martin was shot. I assume it wasn’t in the back, because that would warrant a higher charge.
But they should be able to determine if Martin was standing when shot, how far away he was from the gun, or whether he was shot from below while he pinned Zimmerman down.
If it does go to trial, expect a change of venue petition to be submitted, and the trial moved to a more “urban” district court.
It worked for the second King trial.
If at first it don't seethe try, try anything ethical or not to make it seethe.
If NBC's patented cherry-bomb journalism had any effect then the affidavit probably reads something like this.
. . . Zimmerman who is white attacked the 12-year-old black child . . . neighbors said that the white man . . . Zimmerman, described as white and well over two hundred pounds, . . . Zimmerman, a white resident of . . . Zimmerman a white neighborhood watch . . . police said they found the white man standing over the slain black . . . .

I assumed that this was in advance of the decision to prosecute or not prosecute, in order to provide new context on the Special Prosecutor's decision.
So, here we are today with the decision to prosecute Zimmerman for 2nd degree murder, but where is the promised new information that supports that decision?

I didn't have the opportunity to keep track, but in her long, platitude-laced speech she must have mention "Travon" at least ten times; Zimmmerman, perhaps once.
In none of the thousands of black on white murder trials, I can't recall a single similar puzzler.
PC and intimidation writ large.
Zimmerman will walk, but not until he has accrued tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees. After he walks, I would sue the prosecutor for malicious prosecution.
