Almost the only thing British that I can tolerate these days.

The U.S. version of this show stinks on ice... terrible.

It took a long time for the UK version to get into its stride.

The Beeb are making a concerted effort to bring the disparity in show times down. Doctor Who is only about 1-2 weeks now, and the Christmas specials are like 24 hours!

I hope you include all us UK freepers in the list of things you tolerate. I’d be desolated otherwise.

Schumacher’s “exposure” as the Stig was just a joke. The real Stig was an Army guy who trained soldiers in driving. He wrote a book about his experiences as the Stig and Top Gear fired him.

Some of their jokes are getting a bit predictable, but the wife and I had to laugh when the train tore their signs apart.

Add me to the list if you would. Thanks! (Of course I’ve already seen season 18 - usenet is your friend, or finalgear.com for torrents - but I promise not to post any spoilers.)

Thanks — did they reveal their identities on the show or did someone do some detective work to figure it out?

There has been several outings (and apparently the Schumaker one was a joke per another poster). I know one guy wrote a book and revealed who he was. (one of the early ‘black’ Stigs.)
