More from the rookery.
Just Beautiful!!! Thank you, SWAMPSNIPER
You spoil me, Swampsniper! Beautiful pictures... thank you for such beauty on this rainy, dreary day. Hugs, Mom
Thank you!! Beautiful as always.
Beautiful...so clear and delicate like the finest lace.
Just breathtakingly lovely picture. Thank You.
My Camera gear is all set, thanks to you and the info and knowledge on Digital SLRs you've shared. I just need some of that weather 'up here' called SPRING!
BTW, You know I'm just kidding you. Love all your photos. I especially like the bottom one. That little bit of green by his eye and beak 'makes it'.
I have two main hobbies; Photography and playing my electric guitars. Which one I do depends on the weather. Plus I'm 'X Times' better at Photography as I've been at it way longer. [FReeping doesn't count as a hobby, that's an addiction]
The green lore indicates full breeding readiness, all the hormones are hot to trot. The lore and feet on Snowy Egrets turn crimson. I’ve seen birds display breeding activity where the color change wasn’t obvious but not often. They might have been immature birds just going through the motions.
Lovely!
Catching up. Beautiful! Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply... but that the alligator factor is something I never considered, but it is so obvious!
We live on the marsh up here, and the bad news is we have no rookeries within sight, but I guess the good news is that we CURRENTLY have no gators nearby, (we did have a gatormom on a back corner a few years back - for a few weeks, we heard the distinct “peeping” of gatorbabies!) And last year, we did have a near 5 footer take a break by our backyard fountain, before passing on through : |
Life with nature is ALWAYS an adventure, and we really appreciate your documenting it in such beautiful pictures :)
May God bless and keep you and yours.
