U.S. Marshals and Louisville metro police tracked down and arrested Cannon Pendergrass on Monday.
Pendergrass, 22, was formally charged Tuesday with in the slaying of 15-year-old Gregory Holt.
Pendergrass was the third man arrested in the Holt slaying case and is now facing the same charges as the other two suspects, James Mallory, 29, and Anthony Hogan Jr., 18.
Holt was found shot to death inside his home on Clover Street two weeks ago.
All three suspects have been in trouble with the law in the past. The Kentucky Department of Corrections has confirmed that Pendergrass was part of the mandatory re-entry supervision program.
He was serving an eight-year sentence for multiple charges, including robbery, fleeing or evading police, receiving stolen property and escape.
His serve-out date would have been Sept. 1, but he was released six months early on March 1.
Six weeks later, Holt was killed.

Sheriff Joe please pick up the courtesy line.
too bad we can’t throw the government in jailing for letting dangerous criminals into the streets
This story just blows! That thug was not due to be released until September yet they let him out first of March. Had they kept him in that 15 year old would still be alive! “Mandatory release” my butt!
