Sounds like something is going on with Devil Cat. Why don’t you take Devil Cat to a vet who loves cats and see what s/he says.
All my vet ever says is my cat has too many fleas.
Maybe when I am patting him, he thinks the dinosaur fleas are biting him.
Or something ;)
There is no reasoning with cats. And, there is no crying in being on the house cat’s staff.
