(CNSNews.com) – West Virginia’s Democratic Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said he is not endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election, saying the president “has apparently made it his mission to drive the backbone of West Virginia’s economy, coal and the energy industry, out of business.”
Tomblin is running for re-election in the heavily Democratic and major coal-producing state this year. He won a special election for the governorship last year after Gov. Joe Manchin was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2010.

I personally don’t think Obama will get over 43% of the vote at best.
Is this “betting against America” or an actual threat on the President’s life?
What will be telling is how Obama responds. What it will do in the end is show the contempt Obama, and all who think like him, has for their own constituants. I have always said the left loves ignorant voters who vote blindly. This does not dismiss the fact that some on the right do this but I will stand up and argue that the left does this wholesale and I resent them for it and try to expose them every time. Obama simply thinks they will vote for him no matter what...This Gov is simply waking up. He ought to switch parties if he really wants to make a statement.
Tomblin is like the rest of WV pols in that he will sit on the fence until knocked off.
Coal gets all the press but WV votes primarily on gun rights with everything else a distant second no matter what the consultants say.
Nonsense! They knew what was coming but gave Obama their support anyway, then sent Joe to the Senate. But I guess getting bit by reality is a clarifying event.
Too bad liberal elitist Senator Jay Rockefeller is not running for reelection this year as it looks like West Virginians are fixin to unload the state of its Democrats thanks to Mr Obama and his war on coal. I guess clean coal has more than one positive meaning if it comes down to the state cleansing itself of its Democrat hobbits currently in office.
It will be iteresting to see what WV, PA, Ohio, and VA do with this systimatic dismantling of coal industry and coal fired electricity. As to guns, which is the worst canditate, lol

I wouldn’t count my chickens yet. I have seen more than one Coal miner sticker on the same vehicle with Obama 2012. I live right in the heart of Coal country WV. They are doing the lesser of two evils vote as well, I suppose. That and any moment Obama will announce some freebie for Coal Miners. He has done it for: UAW, students, irresponsible home buyers and that’s just what we know. No telling how many wall street and banker deals under the table.
Here is my prediction of the response that this breaking news will generate from the White House, MSM, Democratic Party and late-night commentators: “....cricket......cricket....”
West Virginia hasn't voted Democrat in the last three presidential elections. They won't this time either.
But they still love Democrats at the local and congressional level to help them to as many goodies as they can possibly wring from the federal teat.
Manchin and Tomblin have an embarassing problem that is about ready to boil over. I don’t know if it will be enough to cause the voters to kick them out, but after Mollohan got unelected from office, I think there may be a chance.
Out of our three representaves, two are now Republican. Now we need to send Big Joe a pink slip.
You are damn right! Last election the unions went for Palin. They knew what Obozo was up to. There are billboards all over west Virginia calling this place “Obama’s No job Zone” or something like that. Obozo should have known better than to mess with hard working folks like coal miners. They may be democrats but they are not environmental wackos. They mine coal for a living to keep the lights, heat and AC on!

To tie the above with some speculative food for thought, please indulge me, (but DO ponder the speculations), as I re-post one of my recently updated comments as follows:
A dictator, such as Obama, only has the power that the people give him.
Currently, at least 40 % of polled American voters are gladly willing to give Obama the necessary power to continue his arrogant dictatorship.
About 47 % of American voters pay NO Personal Federal Income Taxes. These voters are the “fair share” voter base for Dictator Obama. We, in the 53 %, then are paying this 47 % to vote for Obama by virtue of us paying taxes for ourselves AND them.
In this manner we are supporting the voters who vote for Obama, and they will vote to do so again in November.
Dictator Obama has designed Obama”care” to become active only AFTER he is to be re-elected, thus enabling THE NINE SUPREMES to delay ruling on the Constitutionality of the dictate of the individual mandate until Obama is once again the Illegal Foreign White House Occupier, (IFWHO).
The purpose of Dictator Baby-Doc Barack is simple: 1.) Regulate; 2.) Control; and 3.) Destroy. By his own count he has already achieved 60 % of his goals, according to the note he says he carries in his pocket.
Obama’s obvious arrogant and deep hatred of America could have only come from what he was taught in his childhood.
Since there are no known networks of childhood friends from Obama’s past, Obama was probably a member of a Marxist sleeper cell funded by wealthy men with a Marxist view of the World.
The lack of credible documents that has NOT been forged requires a long-term, highly skilled and well-funded support group.
Who the key members of Obama’s probable support group and probable sleeper cell were and are is well known to the Interpol, CIA and the FBI.
Will “Citizen Journalists” such as Breitbart Editor Joel Pollack be able to out-spy the latter two US tax-funded spy entities?
BTW, forget about the LAM, (Liberal Agenda Media), as they are saving their notes to write their tell-all Obama books after Obama has SAFELY retired back home in Kenya.
