I actually can't think of a better porn star name than "Breeze Beretta."
I can see it on the marquee... "She'll blow you away!"

The Beretta Model 96, for instance, fires the decidedly unwimpy .40 S&W. ROFL!
The .40 S&W is essentially a reduced power 10mm. It was invented because some folks (at the FBI, IIRC) couldn't handle the full power 10mm.
In the early 1990s, we called it the .40 Short & Wimpy.

I know a kid named Colt Wesson Smith.

Lived next door to a guy in college whose parents apparently favored more manual weaponry: Lance Spear.
OK, I think his last name was spelled Speer.

“In the early 1990s, we called it the .40 Short & Wimpy.”
Thus displaying your ignorance for all to see. Look at the kinetic energy available in most .40 rounds and you’ll see that on average they have more energy than most .45 rounds. There are a few +P rounds for .45 now that have more energy than the .40 but not many. The 10mm is overkill in a police application. The .40 also allowed the manufacturers to make a more potent pistol with high magazine capacity on 9mm frames. But hey, you keep believing that .45 is a death ray.

Thus displaying your ignorance for all to see. Yes, that's what you're doing.
Compare the .40S&W to the 10mm Auto from which it was derived, and you'll see why we used to call it that. It was a joke. Laugh.
Maybe you just had to have been there ...

I think “SIG” stands for “Swiss Industrial Corporation” (Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft), but also “Lord” in Italian. So its a great name.

Oh, for the lack of a smiley. I’ll give you Short and Weak is apt if the comparison is to a 10mm. Many people though don’t understand the comparison and think it applies to 9 mm and .45 ACP also. The .40 is probably the best self defense cartridge out there right now. Most police departments seem to agree. It offers pretty much everything the .45 does plus greater magazine capacity. Not that I would mind carrying a nice .45 if I had to. I do feel better with 14 or 16 rounds of .40 (have G22 and G23) knowing I might have to face multiple assailants.
