Speaking of killing off cartridges. Probably my favorite handgun is my 4” S&W 686. A lot of new shooters today think revolvers are quaint but not very effective. I was at the range with it about a year ago when a couple of 20 somethings shooting 9mm said, “What are you doing with that old thing? You know you probably can’t hurt anyone with it?”. I just shook my head and said, “OK”. I guess they weren’t impressed with the 1’ diameter ball of flame out of the end of it.

Just bought the missus a S&W Ladysmith revolver in .38 special+p. Very nice gun...she likes it better than all the semis at her disposal.

I guess they werent impressed with the 1 diameter ball of flame out of the end of it.
I wonder if any of them had ever seen a bullet hit anything other than a piece of paper.

I sold my M&P 9mm recently. I've got all I need. My Smithy 686 4" is my favorite.
